The classical training session in the pool in Gardolo, lasted about ninety minutes, has this morning completed the third week of training of Diatec Trentino for the 2016/17 season. Less than a month after the official debut (scheduled for Saturday, September 24th at the PalaPanini of Modena against the hosts for the semifinals of the Italian Super Cup 2016), the pace of activity carried out by the technical staff gradually increases and, from September 2nd, may be even faster thanks to the arrival in Trento of the five players who have competed in the Olympics in Rio 2016.
"We are gradually elevating the workload, but the physical condition of athletes fortunately are not affected, on the contrary: everyone’ shape grows gradually” - confirmed the trainer Luca Baratto -”. It’s normal to reach the end of each workout period particularly tired, but this implicitly means that the preparation continues in the right direction. Next week will still be different from the previous ones, because on Friday we can count on the return of Antonov, Colaci, Giannelli, Lanza and Solé; until Thursday we will continue to raise our work rate and then, the next day, we will try to find a common line for everyone. The goal is to reach the full potential of this period for the weekend in which it will be assigned the Italian Supercup 2016. Being found ready for that appointment is a great stimulus, which is leading the preparation of everyone”.
"Personally, I am living a very positive experience.” - continues Baratto, who since August 8th takes care of the the muscles of Trentino Volley athletes for the first time in his career -”The boys have made me feel immediately comfortable with them and I am building a beautiful human feeling as well as professional. In this period they are offering me so much feedback on the work that I propose and everything comes back to me also useful to schedule workouts in the weight room for the following week. The relationship with the rest of the staff, starting from Lorenzetti and Simoni, grows day after day also thanks to the continuous comparisons and exchange of impressions."
Trentino Volley will already be back in the gym on Monday afternoon after enjoying a day and a half of rest, useful to recover mental and physical energies.
